Mr. Stephen Katei is a Director and the General Manager of Regent Valuers International (K) Ltd. He leads a team of Valuers and Branch managers in growing the brand of the company. Mr. Katei is a renowned expert in the field of valuation, property management and investment advisory with professional experience spanning over 15 years.

Mr. Katei joined Regent in the year 2009 as a Branch Manager in Eldoret, grew through the ranks to be Head of Valuation in 2014 and is now a Director and the General Manager. It is through his dedication that Regent Valuers has continued to expand and deliver top-notch professional services to both our corporate and individual clients.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics from the University of Nairobi and is a Registered and Licensed Valuer by the Valuers Registration Board in accordance with the provisions of the Valuers Act, Cap.532 LOK. Mr. Katei is also a registered and licensed Estate Agent by the Estate Agents Registration Board in accordance with the Estate Agents Act Cap.533 LOK.

In terms of professional memberships and accredations, Mr. Katei is a full member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya under the Valuation and Estate Management Surveyors’ chapter. Stephen Katei is currently pursuing Masters in Business Administration in Strathmore University

Statement of Experience

Mr. Stephen Katei has adequate technical and professional skills in asset valuation and real estate management, agency and general consultancy. He has handled key high-value assignments for various purposes including Mortgage, privatization, sale, financial reporting among others.

He has a broad understanding of the real estate market within the East Africa Region.

He was the team leader in the valuation of United States International University (USIU) assets that included Land and Buildings, Office Furniture, Equipment and Motor vehicles for Book Purposes.

Mr. Katei was also the team leader in valuation of Kwale International Sugar Company Ltd (Plant, machinery, land, and buildings) for Book purposes.

Valuation and Advisory Services for the privatization of public owned sugar sompanies in Kenya that included land, buildings, plant & machinery, sugarcane plantations, motor vehicles in 5 No. sugar factories


Asset valuation for a multi-billion agricultural farm establishment (Sote flowers and Makongi farm) including milk plant, farm machinery, motor vehicles, land and buildings


Rental Space Audit & Assessment for Kenya Airports Authority rental properties in all airports and air strips country wide.


Valuation of Assets, New KCC Limited in Kenya & Uganda that included land, buildings, milk processing plant machinery, motor vehicles, office furniture & equipment and biological assets.

Asset Valuation of publicly owned sugar factories for privatisation purposes. The main features of the project were comprehensive valuation of land and buildings, plant and machinery, office furniture and equipment and motor vehicles for the various factories and cooling plants countrywide.
